COMMUNITY

Hutton Community Centre

After vandalism and being closed for a number of years the centre was fenced, and refurbished by Brentwood Council and reopened in 2014.  After much uncertainty about its future a long-term lease was awarded to Hutton Community Centre CIO in July 2016.

It is managed by HCC CIO but welcomes input from the partner forum of which Hope Church is a member. We believe Hutton Community Centre presents a fantastic resource at the heart of our community providing activities for all ages. Along with the other partners, we are committed to seeing it flourish as a vibrant community hub, catering for all sorts of needs within our community. Plans are in hand to provide Youth Activities and many others subject to available resources.   The building needs some minor maintenance but these works do not prevent these activities.  Indeed the Youth Club started late September 2017 and is so far flourishing.

Our Admin Office At Hutton Community Centre

We have no church building and our Sunday services are held at Long Ridings Primary School, so our permanent office will be in the Hutton Community Centre. There you will find Natalie, our administrator and Hannah our full time Youth and Family Worker and they will be pleased to explain anything you wish to know. To contact either by e-mail admin@hopecommunitychurch.me.uk or youthwork@hopecommunitychurch.me.uk

Events

From time to time we arrange quiz nights, have an entertainer or speaker to engage our church with the wider community. These events are usually free and give opportunity to meet with those in our general community who perhaps have never been inside a church. As a community church we feel this is an important part of our service.

Make Lunch

Make Lunch are a network of churches and community groups across the UK who open up during school holidays to provide meals for children who are eligible for Free School Meals in term time. There are 1.2 million children registered for this service at school, many of whom rely

on these meals as their main, or in extreme cases, only meal of the day, but when school stops for the holidays, so does the food. Hope Community Church feel led to be a part of this and are running a pilot during the February 2017 half term. We need helpers to make this happen. Can you help? Contact
