Malaga Church Plant

Joy In The City
New Day Foster Home
An organisation formed to support the disadvantaged by selling furniture which has been donated and repaired for re-use. Complete house furnishing (often at the request of social services) includes bedding, china, cookers, washing machines and refrigerators, as well as small electrical goods such as kettles and toasters, all of which have been repaired and PAT tested by their team of trained staff. Without this support, many families would be sleeping on bare boards.
Even in our fairly wealthy area, there are many families who just do not have enough money to live on and the Foodbank organisation plays a key role in keeping them alive. As a church we actively support Foodbank and many donations go to the central distribution centres. The support comes from many churches throughout the borough. Brentwood Christian School Worker Trust
Since 1991, the primary and secondary schools of the Brentwood Borough have had the support of the Brentwood Schools Christian Worker Trust (BSCWT). Its aim is to serve school communities by providing Christian learning and support through our team of staff and volunteers.
BSCWT organise assemblies, aid in RE and PSHE teaching, run clubs and run special projects such as Christmas and Easter events and preparation courses for classes about to move the secondary school. As well as supporting the trust financially Hannah, our Youth and Families Worker, is involved in helping provide some of these activities in our community.
TearFund The church supports Tearfund, which is a leading relief and development charity. Tearfund works in partnership with Christian agencies and churches worldwide to tackle the causes and effects of poverty. WE’RE CHRISTIANS PASSIONATE ABOUT ENDING POVERTY
We’re following Jesus where the need is greatest, working with local churches to unlock people’s potential and helping them to discover that the answer to poverty is within themselves. When disasters strike, we respond quickly. We won’t stop until poverty stops. See more at http://www.tearfund.org
