Hope Community Church is a family of individuals who have been saved into a vibrant relationship with God through the death and resurrection of Jesus, and whom God has knit together in community. We believe that Jesus is alive and active and that He desires us all to experience the fullness of life that He offers us.  The Hope family comprises a variety of ages, backgrounds and nationalities, and is welcoming of all.

During the COVID19 lockdown we are obviously not meeting as usual at the school. Instead we are having virtual services each Sunday and you are welcome to join in. Usually there is a brief introduction by one of the elders, a number of songs selected by one of the worship leaders and then a sermon by one of our preachers. The service is conducted on Zoom and recorded, so if you are not able to join at 10.30, you can listen to it later at your convenience.

You will need to send an e-mail to admin@hopecommunityuchurch.me.uk to request to be sent the relevant links each week.

We are also continuing to hold our regular Thursday evening prayer meetings using the Zoom app. If you would like to join with us in praying for the government, our frontline workers and those trying to develop a vaccine for the virus, as well as everyone affected by it, please contact us at the above address.

We will advise when normal services resume.

As part of the Relational Mission group of churches in the South East we continue to have our regular ENOUGH prayer meetings, but they are now being arranged by video link. The first of the current series, entitled ‘Prayers of many’, was held on Friday 13th November. It involved some 20,000 Christians from 40+ nations around the world, coming together to pray for solutions to the COVID 19 pandemic, and for the advance of the Kingdom of God.

Hope is a member of Churches Together in Hutton and Shenfield, who are partnering with Manna Meals and Brentwood Foodbank in providing relief for those people and families most seriously affected by the financial effects of COVID19. Many hundreds of collections of food from local shops and supermarkets have been made. These are then assembled into food parcels at St. Peters, and distributed by an army of volunteers to those in need.
